Why your pharmacy might be unfamiliar with My Script List (MySL) for you!

Updated: Jul 24, 2024

confused pharmacist about mysl, asl or active script list

Ever walked into your pharmacy and asked for a MySL activation code, only to be met with blank stares? Well, you're not alone. Many pharmacies might not be clued in on the latest capability that lets you view your My Script List (MySL). Scripty is one of the first consumer apps with this functionality, leading the way in giving you access to your scripts at your fingertips!

For a while now, ASL, or Active Script List, has been used by pharmacies and doctors. It's pretty handy—with your approval, it enables your pharmacy to peek at your current scripts, so you just come in and get what you need. But until recently, you couldn't see your own script list. That's been a bit of a pain because it meant you had to trust your pharmacy to keep you in the loop.

Then came MySL in the Scripty app.

Introducing MySL: Your Scripts, Your Own Way in Scripty.

MySL has changed all that. Now you can pull up your active scripts anytime, anywhere, using your Scripty app. Super convenient right? Especially when you're out and about or can't swing by your usual pharmacy. Plus, with constant medication shortages, it's crucial to have your script info ready at your fingertips.

And the cherry on top? You don't have to juggle all those individual eScript tokens because Scripty handles it all for you by syncing to your MySL.

But, here's what you might encounter at the pharmacy

  • Software updates: So, your pharmacy got you on ASL, but they could draw a blank on giving you a MySL code if their software isn't up to date. You might need to look for a pharmacy that's got the latest tech.

  • Awareness: Sometimes the pharmacy crew isn't even aware that MySL is out there for you to use in Scripty, so they don't know to hand out that code you're after.

  • Set-Up Time: If you're a newbie at the pharmacy, it might take a bit longer to set things up. They know the ropes with ASL, especially if they've been filling your scripts for a while and can identify you faster...

How you can get your pharmacy in the know

Tech can be slow on the uptake – after all there is so much that your pharmacy needs to be across. But if your pharmacy's scratching their heads over MySL, don't sweat it—you can teach them a few things.

Here's what that chat might look like:

You: Hey, can I grab the MySL code so I can check my scripts on the Scripty app?

Pharmacy: ASL? Sure thing. What's your number? We'll text you—just reply 'YES'.

You: Actually, it's the MySL code I'm after. I wanna see my scripts right on the Scripty app. Shows app.

Pharmacy: Hmmm. We've got you down for ASL. We can see your scripts right here.

You: Yeah, but I'm looking for the MySL code. It lets me view my scripts on my phone. Check this out, it explains it all. Shows them a guide on MySL.

Turns out, a little info-sharing with your pharmacy goes a long way. Once they get what MySL is and how they could get it from their dispensing software system, getting that code should be a breeze for you—and them.
